There have been many times that I have not listened to my inner wisdom. I’ve simply let my head rule my heart and I’ve certainly not heeded my gut and its funny feelings.

Think of times when you followed a path and it didn’t feel right, yet you continued to pursue it. Where did it end up? Probably in a bit of a mess.

I have done this with partners. There is one in particular that I knew wasn’t right, yet I just carried on dating and yes, I did marry them. 17 months into married life and I discovered what my heart had been telling me all along. This was a bad ‘un.

It’s normal to not listen. But there must come a time when you stop and do make space for the little voice within.

I certainly do now…

Although, I also believe that we are always on the right path and all paths lead to somewhere good, in the end.

Meet your inner wisdom

Inside of us is our spirit, our flame of life, a life breath, and a place that holds our eternal light. The light that contains our inner wisdom, hindsight, insight and foresight. This light is our essence, and it holds our essential self.

This divine tie to your inner wisdom is the purest connection possible. What a heady combination of sight all granted to provide you with answers that will guide you through this adventure called life.

People draw their motivation from different sources, their external world or from within themselves. When you tap into your divine inner wisdom, you are connecting to a vast well of in-tuition.

The key to divine inner wisdom is to stop, listen and learn, from the past, present and future because they are all, in reality, our now. The choices we make today affect all of our tomorrows. The decisions of yesterday do the same. Everything collides beautifully into the book of our lives. That abundant flow of endless words come to guide us. Not written on parchment or carved in wood, but deep inside our souls.

Only you have the keys to unlock the clasp of your you journal and discover what was, is and will be are stories of your divine inner wisdom.

The trick is, of course, and there’s always a catch, to listen, to trust, and then to take appropriate action from what you hear, feel or sense. Naturally, when you first start focusing inwards, you might not believe a word that your heart utters. It takes time.

The beauty is that as you start to listen, and keep a note of what you see, hear, feel, or sense, it actually begins to resonate. When the trust comes, you will know each time you see, hear, feel or sense something that it is the truth. What is also incredible is that when you start to explore the beauty of you, you will also begin to see external signals.

Now you have some choices.

Do you love and trust yourself enough to listen, or will you continue to seek external validation? I know which I choose.

Creating a heart connection (1)

To make this work make a clear commitment in your mind that you want to cultivate a divine bond with your inner wisdom. Your desire for this link is key and very powerful. Remember, this is a process. By making the commitment, you are saying that you are willing to devote time and energy to this connection because it is valuable to you.

Write every question you have, let go of needing answers right away.  Accept that some questions are just for asking and others inspire further exploration.  We can have an infinite number of questions but not need them all answered. Some are, for now, others for us to revisit later.
