Book Discovery Session
Get Crystal Clear On Your Book In 90 Minutes Questions To Ask Before You Write A BookMemoir Readiness QuizFor The Book-Curious Who Need Clarity Before Commitment

Sometimes You Need To Talk It Out
You’ve got stories swirling around in your head. You suspect there’s a book in there somewhere. Or lots of books. But which stories? What’s the angle? Is this actually worth pursuing? It’s either utter chaos in there or an idea sitting on the edge that needs teasing out.
Maybe you’ve been thinking about this for months (or years). Perhaps you’ve started and stopped multiple times. You may be comparing yourself to other authors and wondering if you have anything unique to offer.
I had all of this with my latest book and resisted writing it, but sense won the day…
Stop wondering. I think we should find out. What about you?
And bonus I don’t bite.
What Happens In A Discovery Session?
Deep dive conversation:
90 minutes of flowing questions and exploration. I listen to your stories, understand your vision, and help you see patterns you might be missing. It’s fun, I promise.
Framework introduction:
I’ll walk you through the same process I use in my other programmes, adapted to your specific situation. I’ll also share different ideas and explain why they work.
Clarity on direction:
By the end, you’ll know which book you want to write first, whether you’re ready to tackle it, and your next steps. I’ll also share a brilliant energy technique for checking in with your body.
Practical guidance:
If you want to go it alone after this session, I’ll give you enough structure and ideas to get started independently.
No pressure follow-up:
This isn’t a sales call in disguise. It’s a genuine exploration of your book possibilities.
Afterwards
You can book one-off clarity sessions if you feel you need someone to brainstorm with. I also offer (some) developmental editing.

What Else?
This is all tailored to you and is offered as an idea of what we do together. The key is to get your book out of your head and support you to get it written.
The Questions We’ll Explore
- What stories are calling to be told?
- Which book do you think you should write vs. which book wants to be written?
- What transformation have you been through that could guide others?
- What’s your surface book, heart book, and service book?
- Where do these intersect into YOUR book?
- What’s stopping you from starting (or finishing)?
- What support do you actually need vs. what you think you need?
- Are you ready for the vulnerability that authentic storytelling requires?
Who Books Discovery Sessions?
- You’re book-curious but not sure if you’re ready for the full journey
- You have multiple book ideas and need help choosing
- You’ve started writing but feel stuck or unclear about direction
- You want confirmation that your story matters
- You prefer to understand the process before committing
- You like to make informed decisions about investments
- You want practical guidance to potentially go it alone
Maybe Not if:
- You’re absolutely certain about your book and ready to dive in – you are ready – go for it
- You’re not genuinely curious about writing a book
- You want me to convince you rather than help you decide
What Happens After Your Session?

Option 1: You get what you need and off you go
Brilliant! You’ll have clarity, direction, and enough structure to begin. I’m genuinely pleased when people find their way forward independently.
Option 2: You realise you want more support
We can discuss which of my programmes would work best for you. There is no pressure, just honest conversation about what would serve your book journey. Of course, I may not be right for you, and that’s okay, too.
Option 3: You discover you’re not ready yet
Also, brilliant! It’s better to know now than to struggle through something you’re not prepared for. I might suggest resources or other support that would help you get ready. But honestly, the best thing here is your journal, daydreaming and some creative play.
Option 4: You realise you don’t actually want to write a book
Perhaps the most valuable outcome of all! Not everyone needs to write a book, and there’s freedom in knowing that. You may want to create a course. Mine are on Udemy.
