Book Marketing Strategy - Books Build Businesses

Think Differently

Writing the book is only half the story. The other half is strategic marketing that turns your book into the foundation of a business ecosystem – lead magnets, email, blogs, services, courses, speaking, and partnerships that actually fit you and your energy.

I work strategy-first (nonfiction only). There are no gimmicks, no “growth hacks,” and no done-for-you. We get clear on positioning, audience, promise, and pathways, and only then do we map tactics and content.

Why Strategy First (and what it leads to)

Without a strategy, you get random acts of marketing, launch panic, and content fatigue.

With strategy, you get:

  • Clarity: a sharp positioning and a reader promise that guide every decision
  • Coherence: your book → lead magnets → services/courses all connect
  • Confidence: a plan you’ll actually follow (aligned with your capacity and energy)
  • Compounding assets: content pillars and email that grow over time
  • Credibility: consistent brand voice and authority in your niche
  • Commercial outcomes: enquiries, students, clients, speaking, and revenue

What We Create Together

  • Reader & Market Insight: market overview, ideal reader, competitor scan
  • Positioning & Promise: the “why you, why now” that differentiates your book
  • Book-to-Business Map: how your book powers lead magnets, emails, blogs, services, courses
  • Offer & Value Ladder: free → entry → core → premium, aligned with your book
  • Content Strategy: 3–5 content pillars and a focused 90-day calendar (no overwhelm)
  • Platform Choices: channels that suit you (email first; socials as needed)
  • Launch Ideas: pre-launch, launch, and post-launch arcs (right-sized for you)
  • Partnerships & PR Angles: communities, podcasts, stages, and allies
  • Measurement: simple, human metrics that matter (not vanity numbers)

This isn’t for you if:

  • You write fiction. I work exclusively with non-fiction.
  • You want speed over substance and aren’t ready to do the inner work.
  • You expect done-for-you marketing (ads, daily socials, PR). That’s not my lane.
  • You’re after rigid formulas, hacks, or “bestseller in a weekend” promises.
  • You’re unwilling to niche, choose a clear audience, or commit to a strategy.
  • You want to rush the process
  • You’re looking for a magic formula that works for everyone

FAQs

  • Do you implement? No,  this is strategy, planning, and skills. You or your team implement.
Do I need a finished manuscript? No. An outline to a final draft is ideal; we can plan pre- or post-publication.
Will you use AI to help with the plan? Yes. AI supports brainstorming and translating transcripts. You still have to think.
I hate marketing. Can this still work? Yes. We’ll choose right-sized, values-aligned tactics you’ll actually do.
What results can I expect? Clarity, focus, and a plan that, if you take action, will translate into results.
