Do you think we live in a culture with completion instead of being beautifully unfinished? You know those before and after photos, success stories with neat endings and transformation tales that tie up with spiritual bows. I wonder if this feeds into the message that we need to have it all figured out before we're worthy of being heard.
It's messy in the middle. Gloriously, uncomfortably, necessarily messy. I’d like to say that I wouldn’t have it any other way, and yeah, of course, I wouldn’t be who I am if it wasn’t for the gifts and challenges and the mess. But there are some messy bits I am sure we could all do without.
So, we’ve said, a hybrid memoir combines the emotional power of personal narrative with the practical guidance of self-help.
Think of it as:
Your story (the memoir part) — the lived experience, the journey, the transformation you went through.
Your wisdom (the self-help part) — the lessons, frameworks, and tools you discovered along the way.
Their transformation (the result) — readers see themselves in your story AND walk away with actionable guidance.
You have this incredible story burning inside you - maybe it's your memoir, a business book, or wisdom you desperately want to share.
But every time you sit down to begin, your mind spirals: Where do I even start? How do I organise years of experiences? What if no one wants to read this? The blank page stares back, and you close your laptop, promising yourself you'll start tomorrow.
How Purpose Evolves Through Life's Transformations. My journey and experiences have taught me that purpose evolves through six distinct stages. Each one guides us from darkness into clarity, from feeling lost to feeling aligned with what truly ignites our souls.
